Location of construction access corridors Most of the work will be accomplished from the water using the Carolina Forest boat ramp (approximately 600 feet away) to bring in materials and remove materials. Name: William Routh Shoreline Stabilization Repair Project Location: 206 Balsam Cir Troy, NC 27371 Montgomery County Project Contact Information: Owner William Routh 206 Balsam Cir Troy, NC 27371 336- 692 -0241 Routh.chuckQ�-,mail.com Project Description: This project will be replacing an existing shoreline retention wall that has fallen into disrepair and has several penetrations through the wall that are causing wash and shoreline loss due to boat traffic. Existing shoreline retention wall is approximately 40 years old and is about 160' long and about 4' high. Additional wall length will be required to tie new wall back into bordering walls, as new wall will be built out from existing wall, approximately 18 to 24 ". Small fixed dock (10'x10') on West end of property will be removed. Existing boardwalk over the water will be removed. Install a new shoreline stabilization wall constructed of v -cut 2X8 #1 direct burial lumber with rip rap at the water base. Wall to be installed in front of existing wall and lined with Army Corp approved matting on ground side of wall. Wall cap to be constructed of 2X10 #2. Once new stabilization wall is installed, existing wall will be removed and back filled void with gravel against the wall and dirt behind the gravel. Vegatation disruption will be minimal. Several bushes will be removed by hand prior to construction beginning and relocated on property up near the house. Bed area border adjacent to existing wall will be removed. Grass will be seeded up to gravel area behind new stabilzation wall. No trees are in the vicnity of the wall. 0 Survey for WILLIAM E.
