HomeMy WebLinkAboutNC0025321_SOC - June 2023 Quarterly Report_202306166/16/2023 Quarterly report as required by SOC Section 2 (B) 8. Construction of the new head works of the WWTP are in full swing. The wet well that serves the new primary pump station is being formed and poured. Harper construction Is progressing as expected and may be a little ahead of schedule. They are also raising the wall height of the secondary clarifiers to expedite the work that needs to be done. We had our monthly update meeting Yesterday the 15th and Logan from DWI was present. Operationally things are running normal. We still working on getting the most northern primary clarifier back online. There is something that has bound the plow mechanism in the bottom of the clarifier. This has been a slow tedious process trying to remove the solids that was in the clarifier without overloading the other primary clarifier with the excess solids. We are still having washout issues with the secondary clarifiers, due to the depth of the basins. The only help for these will be raising the wall height and the new sludge removal system. We have been working on the current Clari-vac system around the clock to ensure we’re removing as much solids as we can, but we just can’t remove enough. Should you have any questions please feel free to let me know.
