Zach, Do you have time for a quick call to discuss the buffer mitigation requirements for the project? Relative to the wetland mitigation, I accidentally sent you the wrong SOA. The attached SOA is for more credits than are required and the bank has more credits available than what the SOA is for. Therefore, the attached wetland SOA should provide you with what you need for the 401. Relative to the buffer mitigation requirements, I want to make sure that we are on the same page and that my take on the Neuse River buffer rules is correct. The permanent buffer impacts associated with the proposed access road (Buffer Impacts 134) are east of the jurisdictional ditch and within an existing, active farm field and adjacent maintained area in which no woody vegetation is present. The permanent buffer impacts associated with pipe installation are west of the jurisdictional ditch and within an existing maintained corridor. My question is whether either of the above -described buffer impacts associated with B4 that are within an existing maintained easement for a non -sewer pipe or within an existing farm field/abutting maintained areas for the access road, require mitigation. Please let me let me know if you would like to schedule a call or if you want to call at your convenience. Either way works for me. Let me know when you are available if you want to set up a time or I can be reached at 919-906-1775 if you want to call at your convenience. Thank you and I look forward to talking with you. Good morning, Zach, I have been in the field and playing whack -a -mole with deadlines this past month. I have to complete my response to comments on an EIS in the next couple of days and then Sue's request is next on the list. Therefore, I anticipate providing a response by mid to late this week. My apologies for the delay. When it rains, it pours. Good thing is that we work in the rain. Sue, It is a little complicated since I have an Individual 401 WQC and a NRB buffer permit for the project issued by DEQ and a statutory 404 (and corresponding email stating as such) from the Corps (Chris Hopper). I have to run out of the office for the rest of the day but will provide you a detailed email tomorrow morning with attachments. External email — think before you click Hi Linda, I'm hoping you can help me sort out something regarding this project as there appears to be some sort of mixup in our system. We have some documents that our system says came in on August 15, 2022. It appears to be a request for a modification and the supporting documents, but then in another part of our system it shows that this info came in 2/15/2023. The attached document is the online submittal form. Our system fills in the date automatically once it is submitted but it looks like that didn't happen because it still says "filled in automatically" which usually means this is a draft or a copy you saved but didn't get all the way through submittal or there would be an actual date for me to rely on. We were undergoing a system migration in Feb. and I'm worried that a glitch happened in this project. I'm trying to sort it out because it also looks like we never sent a request to pay the application fee and therefore a review hasn't been started. Can you help please?
