Information needed: • An executed Catawba Buffer Notification form • Correct square footage on the application #9 and #10 as they don't align with the shoreline sketch showing impacts • Need to show width of construction access • Need to clarify how many trees and their location which you are requesting to remove as stated on the shoreline sketch. See below for clarification "Zone 1 shall consist of vegetated area that is undisturbed. Zone 1 begins at full pond level (760 feet for Lake Norman) and extends landward a distance of 30 feet, measured horizontally on a line perpendicular to the lake." Therefore, no disturbance (including the removal of vegetation) is permitted in Zone 1 (30' buffer zone) without prior written approval by Division of Water Resources (DWR). No trees greater than 3" caliper may be cut/removed within the 30' buffer without prior written approval by DWR. Exception, those trees that are severely undermined along the immediate shoreline can be removed. You will need to electronically update this application. Please follow the link below to our 'Supplemental Information Form'. Your project type will be "More Information Response" and fill out the form including your Existing ID # which will be the DWR # for that project.
