I have attached the materials for the Corps GP 291 and NCDWR Individual 401 Water Quality Certification
application for Port City Marina. We have confirmed that the piling work for the marina dock reconfiguration is to
be done using a vibratory installation method rather than a pile driving hammer, lessening impacts to
anadromous fishes including shortnose sturgeon. In addition, the relatively shallow water in the marina basin
and its location outside the river channel minimizes the likelihood of migratory fish being in close proximity to
the work being conducted. This information has already been submitted to NCDCM.
