FW: Weldon Boat Dock - Comment letters (UNCLASSIFIED)
COE response Letter 071015.pdf
Just talked to Daniel, and he says the 401 application is in the mail. He OK'd me forwarding his email on to you. He said
he had trouble getting the approval for funding for the application fee because it was the end of the month and other
bureaucratic stuff.
I hope to have our permit ready to go once we get the 401.
Have a good weekend,
Craig

RE: Comment Letters for Weldon Boat Dock project
Action ID: SAW- 2004 -20055
Daniel,
Attached are the comments letters received as a result of the Public Notice published on May 12, 2015 and received at
our office.
You are free to comment on any of these letters. However, I would like your response to two of the letters:
1. The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission letter dated June 11,
2015 discusses construction moratorium periods. Please acknowledge this letter and state the projected dates for when
work on the project will begin and end.
2. The DENR letter dated June 15, 2015 stating that a 401 Water Quality Certification is required for the project. I will
need this before I can issue the permit. Their application is the same as the one used by the USACE, though they may be
asking for additional information. Have you applied for 401 certification?
If you have questions or comments, feel free to call or email.
Craig
