The overflow bridge is a 2 span 40’X 20’ bridge as well and will be replaced with a 35’wide X 9’ tall aluminum bow culvert with 32’ in length with headwalls and wingwalls. Based on hydraulic calculations and observations made on-site after heavy rain events, NCDOT believes that this site will be adequately served by this configuration. Most of the work will be performed with an excavator. Clean earthen fill will be used to backfill over pipe and behind the headwalls. 4. Jurisdictional Determinations 4a.
