The plant had an exceedance for monthly average Total Nitrogen at 13.53. Plant staff have reduced the pump speed through the anoxic zone from the influent EQ, and increased Micro-C feeds in attempts to
bring the Total Nitrogen levels within our permitted limits. We have also reduced side stream feed from the digester decant in order to reduce the total nitrogen from going back into the plant. Staff replaced an
air manifold that was causing the anoxic zones DO to increase. We have seen the Nitrates and Total Nitrogen trend lower since making these repairs and adjustments. All other parameters were compliant for
the month.
