The purpose of the evaluation was to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit WQ0000165. Don O'Mara was present during the inspection. This facility is a 43,000 GPD, dual Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) system with two high -rate infiltration disposal fields. The flow averaged 7,647 GPD in May, and peaked at approximately 20,000 GPD on the July 4th weekend. A new SBR screen/program is now float activated and only operates when the wastewater reaches an optimal level for treatment. A review of records show that there has been no effluent violations since the last inspection in March 2021. The monitoring wells have had some TDS and Chloride exceedances, but likely attributable to background concentration of a barrier island environment. Since the start-up of the new BNR plant in 2008, nitrate exceedances have improved. The last exceedance waE in MW-6 in July 2022. The facility is compliant with Non -Discharge Permit WQ0000165.
