This letter transmits a Notice of Violation and assessment of civil penalty in the amount of $1,104.36 (S998.00 civil
penalty + S106.36 enforcement costs) against Chatham County Schools.
This assessment is based upon the following facts: a review has been conducted of the Discharge Monitoring Report
(DMR) submitted by Chatham County Schools Ior the month of March 2023. This review has shown the subject facility
to be in violation of the discharge liniiiat ions and/or monitoring requirements found in NPDES WW Pennit No.
NC0039331. The violations, which occurred in March 2023, are summarized in Attachment A to this letter.
