Mitchell Water Treatment Plant NPDES Permit #: NCO081426 Guilford County Dear Mr. Borchers: On July 12th, 2023, Division of Water Resources staff Ron Boone conducted a routine compliance evaluation inspection at N.L. Mitchell Water Treatment Plant, wastewater discharge permit NCG0081426. ORC Larry Nance was present during the inspection. A review of records, data, treatment components, structures, and the outfall was completed. This inspection reflected compliance with the subject permit. All records, such as laboratory data and reports, the permit, operator's logs, etc. were reviewed. The plant site and outfall to North Buffalo Creek were also inspected. No violations, issues, or items of concern were noted during the inspection. Please be aware that pursuant to North Carolina general statute (NCGS) 143-215.6A, the Division may assess civil penalties not to exceed $25,000 per day against any person who fails to fully comply with the requirements of a permit issued pursuant to NC General Statute (NCGS) 143-215.1., as is NC0088552.
