The UT to Falls Lake closeout site visit was completed with the DWR on 7/18/2023. The site
was monitored for 6 years and was in Year 7 post original planting at the time of the site visit.
The site was supplementally planted in January of 2021. DWR noted that there were more
Loblolly pine on the site than they would prefer and stated that on future projects DWR would
require more intensive pine management and/or remedial action to achieve species and diversity
requirements. Please note that this site was instituted under 15A NCAC 02B.0295(n)(1) (2014
Temporary Rule).
Recommendation:
DMS requests credit release of 138,115 BMUs, 18,442.85 Nutrient Offset N credits, and
1,187.82 Nutrient Offset P credits.
