The force main extension totals approximately 2,633LF including one air release valve at its single high point. The force main will serve a future pump station to be designed by McKim and Creed to the northeast of this project. A subsequent NCDOT project, R-5963D Suttles Road Realignment, will extend this force main southeast to an existing gravity sanitary sewer manhole. These extensions and pump station will be permitted by modification of this permit at a later date. No flow will be added to the system at this time. The pipeline will be constructed and hydrostatically pressure tested in accordancewith Town of Pittsboro standards, then capped and left full of water until such time as the R-5963D project extends the force main to its discharge on the south end and until construction of the force main and pump stating being designed by McKim and Creed at the north end.
