The following is an answer to the concerns after visiting the sewer plant at North View Mobile
Home Park.
The renewal of the application has been sent to the renewal office. A letter has been received
back verifying that the renewal permit was submitted. The permit office was preparing a renewal
for the permit.
The equalization base is under repair by an electrician.
The horn was cleaned to remove spiders and their webs. It is working properly at this time. Also,
an outside firm has been hired to verify the calibration of the flow meter. This is a work in
progress.
The composite sampler was discovered to have a split in the line. This will be repaired so that a
proper sample may be taken. The size of the composite sample will be verified by a special
calibration by an outside firm.
The sampling location has been altered to take each sample after the affluent water and this is a
work in process. This will modify the plant.
The following information was not included in the first letter:
The discharge lines from the digester are currently made out of flexible hose. This will be
changed to a hard line wherever it crosses the ground. Also, the affluent has a permanent
fixture to accept a staff gauge in order to measure and verify flows. This staff gauge is located in
the equipment building located at the plant. The temperature requirement for the sampling
refrigerator was already in place. The thermometer had fallen behind the refrigerator and has
been retrieved and placed in sight. Also, the battery has been replaced.
