After confirming with your consultant,James Izzell,Stormwater Program Staff found that the
facility will not be discharging wastewater or stormwater to waters of North Carolina.This means
the site does not require permit coverage.Per the Black River Special Management Strategy,
wastewater discharges from this site to the Back River are not allowed due to the mine being less
than a mile from the Outstanding Resources Waters (ORW).
