Right of way acquisition is scheduled for fiscal year 2025, and construction is scheduled for fiscal year 2028. The attached figures show the vicinity, study area and topography maps for the proposed project. The project is currently state funded; however, NCDOT is preparing a Categorical Exclusion document and has made a preliminary determination that the project will not proceed through the NEPA/404 Merger Process. NCDOT staff or their consultants may contact you to request project-specific information. We welcome your input on the proposed project, and we would appreciate any information that may be helpful in evaluating the potential environmental effects. If applicable, please identify any permits or approvals which may be required by your organization. Please provide your input by July 31, 2023.
