Sanitary Sewer Overflows — April 2023

Dear Mr. Vinson:
I am writing in response to the above -mentioned violation that we received on May 17, 2023. The
overflow in this incident was due to a buildup of rags/paper towels in the sewer main. Crews found the
SSO while doing inspection work on this outfall. We used our small jetter to clear the blockage and clean
the sewer main. Once we cleared the blockage, the overflow stopped, and flow returned to normal. We
cleaned debris around the manhole and placed lime as needed.
We take our responsibility to maintain compliance for our collection system very seriously. I trust that
you find the City's actions for compliance are satisfactory. Thank you very much for the opportunity to
