7. Describe proposed work (include discussion as to how hardening of shoreline has been avoided, or
why it is necessary):
Remove existing damaged wood wall on shoreline and replace with a VA Fieldstone boulder wall with cap. Install TN Crab
Orchard steps for lake access. Replace existing block retaining wall above the beach area on left side of property where the the
buffer is the steepest with a VA Fieldstone boulder wall to prevent and control erosion and run off into lake. Erosion issues are
occurring behind buffer wall. Replacement of block retaining wall will be within the same footprint and we would only be
replacing what already exists.

Grass buffer, no trees removed, minimal disturbance to buffer. Access corridor and area where buffer wall is to be replaced will be
restored to original condition once project has been completed.
