I have reviewed the application submitted for the above noted project and require additional information to complete
my review. Please address the following items within 30 days of this email.
1. 1 need a description of how the work will be done, will the current wall be removed?
2. 1 see that you have provided the sketch and you have 6' of riprap coming landward of the 760'. 1 need you to
explain the need for 6' of riprap. Typically, we allow 4' of riprap in the buffer.
3. To verify, the 10' access corridor is on the landowners property that is having the shoreline completed? If so,
please redo the sketch to show the access road on the property and where the access will be located on the
property.
4. In your application you have 900sgft for disturbance below normal pool lake level, but in the Plan View sketch
you have provided me your measurement is 4' x 150' for a total of 600 sgft below lake level. Please confirm the
correct amount.
5. You also have 1500 sqft for amount of disturbance above the normal pond lake level. For the 10' access road in
the 50' buffer would be 500 sgft. And in your new Plan View Sketch that you have provided it says 6' x 150'
which would be 900 sgft for a total of 1400sgft.
Complete the attached form, Catawba Notification Form, and please contact me if you have any questions regarding
these items. The Division will consider this application on hold until receipt of a complete response to all items above.

I am still in need of more information regarding the shoreline stabilization at Indelicato Shoreline. I need a description of
how the work will be done, will the current wall be removed? I see that you have provided the sketch and you have 6' of

description of how the work will be done, if by land, I need the measurements of your temporary access road through
the 50' buffer, landward 50' from the 760' contour line, This will need to be added to number 10 for amount of
disturbance above the normal pool level/normal water level and 50' landward. The 1500sgft would be permanent
impacts of rip rap and then below that you can put the amount for the temporary access. Please mark the
measurements for the impacts below the water level (what you have highlighted in green), measurements for the
buffer disturbance (orange highlighted area) and the access road (pink highlighted area, only need the 50' landward

from the 760' measurement) on your sketch. If any trees greater than 3" caliper need to be removed, that must be
noted in the application and pictures provided.
Example of a sketch seen below; however, the access road would be on the property (green area). In this example, the
access road is on a neighbor's property.
