Performance Annual Report 2022
I. General Information
Facility/System Name: Town of Troy Wastewater Treatment Plant
Responsible Entity: Town of Troy

Description of Treatment Process and Collection System:
The, wastewater treatment plant is permitted for 1.2 MGD. The plant is an extended aeration system.
with du —al oxidation ditches running`in series, tw'o-final clarifiers and ultraviolet disinfection. -The sewer
collection system is comprised of 6" 8" 10" 15" 18" and 2 1 " clay cast iron and PVC sewer piping.
The piping system is predominately 6" and 8 diameter pipe with brick and pre -cast manholes.
The Town of Troy owns a sewer jet machine capable of washing 600 L.F. of sewer collection pipe.
II. Performance
Wastewater Treatment Plant
The average daily flow from the WWTP was .522 MGD.
There were 3 Notices of Violation received for the year. There was 1 for a BOD limit violation, 1 for a
TSS limit violation, and I for an NH3 limit violation.
25 dry tons of solids were removed and transported to Uwharrie Environmental Landfill.
Sewer Collection System
Approximately 3,500ft of gravity sewer at Bilhen lift station was replaced. Bilhen lift station was also
updated. There was one reportable spill for the year that resulted in a violation. The Public Works
Dept. cleaned approximately 20,788 ft of sewer line.

This report will.be put on public display at the Troy Town Hall. Copies will be made available to any
user or customer upon request.
