Hi Sue,
Sorry, I may have misspoke in my wording when describing the impact lengths in the PCN, but the numbers in the
impact table and the impact drawings are correct. Per sheets 4 and 5 of the impact drawings, the actual length of the
culverts are only 60 If, so those total numbers do reflect that little bit of sinuosity. Please let me know if you need
anything else.

I have reviewed the above noted application and require additional information in order to complete DWR's
review. Please respond to the items below within 30 days.
1. It appears that the length of the culverts has been used to determine the impact length. As stated in the PCN
Help Document "The stream impact length should be measured along the centerline of the stream. When
proposing a culvert, the impact length is generally greater than the length of the culvert and associated
dissipater since the existing stream usually has some sinuosity (curvature)". Based on the plan drawings it does
appear that the streams have sinuosity at the road crossing locations. Please provide updated impact lengths
for each impact type at each location.
Please note that the application will be considered on hold until receipt of a complete response.
