We are requesting extension of the Milestone by 90 days from July 31, 2023 to October 29, 2023. This delay is caused by a delay in equipment for construction of the Water Treatment Plant Pretreatment System. The Contractor initially approved the Purchase Order of this equipment on January 26, 2022. The schedule from the vendor was initially to be 6 to 8 weeks for shop drawings and equipment delivery at 18 to 24 weeks from receipt of approved shop drawings. Accounting for 8 weeks of Engineering review time it was initially expected that the equipment would be delivered in 2022. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has had significant delays in the preparation of shop drawings, and production of the equipment. These delays have been in part attributed to COVID-19 shutdowns as the manufacturing facility was required on two occasions to completely shut down due to COVID cases at the facility. The primary tankage associated with the Acti-Flo equipment arrived onsite on June 14, 2023, however this does not include all electrical control panels that are required for its installation and operation. The partial shipment was arranged to expedite the schedule as the equipment can be set in place and piping completed as the Contractor awaits the remaining items. The most communication indicates that the remaining portions of the equipment will be provided in mid -August however firm dates have not been provided. A copy of the latest schedule provided by the Contractor is enclosed for reference. The current anticipated startup date is September 29, 2023. We are requesting the full 90 days allowable under the SOC in order to ensure that any issues discovered during startup can be addressed and the equipment placed in full operation ahead of the revised milestone.
