In response to the items noted in NOV-2023-PC-0214, the following actions have been taken:
Violations 1,2&3:
• Lagoon levels have been maintained in compliance with minimum freeboard since the
dates noted in the NOV.
• A new Operator in Charge has been designated and will ensure that all reporting
requirements and permit required actions are completed as necessary.
Violation 4:
• Farm personnel have been trained regarding proper handling of solids and calcium
buildup.
• A plan, including appropriate documentation, for removal of material noted in NOV has
been developed by Edward Long, National Resource Conservationist with Nash County
Soil and Water Conservation.
• Removal and application of material has been scheduled with Eastern Composting, LLC
in accordance with the above referenced plan for the week of July Yd, 2023.
