The plant had an exceedance for monthly average Total Nitrogen at 11.76. Plant staff have reduced the pump speed through the anoxic zone from the influent EQ, reduced recirculation rates, and increased wasting to reduce solids in attempts to bring the Total Nitrogen levels within our permitted limits. We replaced the anoxic mixer for MBR train 1, the DO probe was replaced / verfied, replaced some components in the control panel that were causeing higher recirculation rates and raising the DO in the anoxic zone. We have seen the Nitrates and Total Nitrogen trend lower since making these repairs and adjustments. All other parameters were compliant for the month.
