Based on the information supplied by you on July 3,2023,the impacts are located in CU 03020104 of the Tar-Pamlico River basin in the Northern Outer Coastal Plain(NOCP)Eco-Region,and are as follows: Table 1 —Additional Impacts (feet/ acres) Tar-Pamlico Stream Wetlands Buffer(Sq.Ft.) 03020104 Non- Coastal NOCP Cold Cool Warm Riparian Riparian Marsh Zone 1 Zone 2 Impacts(feet/acres) 0 0 0 0.280 0 0 0 0 *NOTE: Some of the stream impacts may be proposed to be mitigated at a 1:1 mitigation ratio. The adjacent area contains some delineated wetland areas. City of Washington Water & Sewer (Sites 1, 2, 3, and 6) The existing underground water main along the west side of US 17 Business is in conflict with the proposed new bridge and must be relocated. The City of Washington will install a new water main along the west side of US 17 business. To reduce wetland impact, the water main will be installed by directional drill. Bore pits will be required at the beginning, the end of the project, and on each side of the railroad right of way where the new water main crosses. These bore pits will require excavation, and permanent fill in the wetlands. The existing underground FSS sewer main along the west side of US 17 Business is in conflict with the proposed new bridge and must be relocated. The City of Washington will install a new FSS sewer main along the west side of US 17 business. To reduce wetland impact, the sewer main will be installed by directional drill. Bore pits will be required at the beginning, the end of the project, and on each side of the railroad right of way where the new water main crosses. These bore pits will require excavation, and permanent fill in the wetlands. The work areas for the water and force main sewer are combined. Total excavation in wetlands will be 0.13 acres and total fill in wetlands will be 0.38 acres. Town of Chocowinity Sewer (Sites 4 and 5) The existing underground FSS sewer main along the east side of US 17 Business is in conflict with the proposed new bridge and must be relocated. The Town of Chocowinity will install a new FSS sewer main along the east side of US 17 business. To reduce wetland impact, the sewer main will be installed by directional drill. Bore pits will be required at the beginning, the end of the project, and on each side of the railroad right of way where the new water main crosses. These bore pits will require excavation, and permanent fill in the wetlands. Total excavation in wetlands will be 0.03 acres and total fill in wetlands will be 0.21 acres for the installation of the force main sewer.
