through our system. Has any construction including but not limited to any type of clearing for this project already
begun?

routed your original request straight to my inbox for processing into our system and provided you with an automated

Quick Sheet that would show you the steps to completing this form without having to do a completely new ePCN for
modifications, speeding up processing times, and ensuring tracking.

Hope you are well. I just spoke with Colin Mellor and he let me know that you had not yet received the TIP# R-5930 IP
Modification. Please see below - we submitted to your @ncdenr email address back in March. This was a week or so
after we had been coordinating via email with you on the same ncdenr address. I am guessing that is nearabout when
DEQ switched over to the new email addresses... impeccable timing. Sending this along now hopefully for an expedited
review!

The archaeological survey has been completed and we are waiting final documentation to send over to you both. Apart

Good afternoon Lyle and Ryan,
On behalf of the N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) - Highway Division 8, Kimley-Horn is submitting the
attached Individual Section 404/401 Permit and Buffer Authorization Modification Request package for the Chatham
Park Way North Project (STIP# R-5930) located in Chatham County, NC. As discussed in the Pre -Application Meeting held
virtually on February 15, 2023, the proposed STIP R-5930 was previously permitted under a joint Individual Section
404/401 Permit with the NCDOT and adjacent Chatham Park developer serving as co -applicants (SAW-2020-00746;
DWR# 20200533v2). Due to the varying timelines and requirement to permit the adjacent development and STIP R-5930
concurrently, it was determined with the USACE and the NCDWR that the proposed impacts resulting from STIP R-5930
quantified in the original Individual Section 404/401 Permit and Buffer Authorization would be based on functional level
design. This Permit Modification Request is proposed in order to update the previously permitted impact quantities with
the STIP R-5930 final design. Please find additional information pertaining to this request in the attached cover letter
narrative.
