This is a follow up to the preconstruction meeting for Brunswick Bridge 15 (NC 179B over the
Calabash River) on 6/14/23. 1 have collected the information you (Stephen and Hannah) requested at
the meeting. Please let me know if you need more information or anything else from us.
NCDOT will be doing the planting and monitoring for the mitigation.
Attached to this email is a copy of S&C's demo plan that they provided to NCDOT's Resident
Engineers.
Waste:
• All of the bridge and steel piles will go to S&C's yard.
• Any wood remnant piles will be disposed of at the Sampson County Landfill in Roseboro.
• All causeway excavation will go to Tripp Construction's pit. Permit number: 10-95#
• Clearing debris will go to Ike Williamson Dump Site. LCID #N0713
We also reviewed the plans: There are no deviations between the construction plans and the permit
plans. The locations of cut and fill lines match the limits of the permitted impacts.
We are still gathering information about S&C's plan for their proposed sheet pile structure around
the area of excavation. Once we have more information from them, we will start a discussion with
you and will schedule an onsite meeting to discuss.
