The solids level in the aeration basins was higher than preferred at 98% settleable solids. Mr. White said the solids needed to be kept at that concentration for optimal treatment. One of the clarifiers had only 6 inches of clear water from the surface, but this clarifier had a clogged return line the day prior according Mr. White, and was still getting it back to normal conditions. The audio alarm for the EQ basin was not working. *7/6/2023: The audio alarm was repaired.* The influent pump station had a significant amount of grease built up on the walls of the wet well. Mr. White said the station is pumped out annually every April. I recommend the pump station be pumped out more frequently, based on the amount of grease that had accummulated in two months time. Is the DO level acceptable?(1.0 to 3.0 mg/l) Settleable solids level was extremely high for both aeration basins at 98%. Mr. White says this is needed for optimal wastewater treatment at this facility. DO levels were 0.80 mg/L and 3.0 mg/L for the two basins. The WWTP always has a blower running and feeding air to the basins. Comment: Secondary Clarifier Yes No NA NE Is the clarifier free of black and odorous wastewater?
