Hi Alex,

The current application submitted is missing the buffer determination information and correspondence from the USACE stating that the historic ponds are no longer considered open waters,
but rather wetlands and is therefore not accurate or complete.

Our email conversations regarding the ponds/buffers from 2/23/23 performed under DWR# 20-129 <https://edocs.deq.nc.gov/WaterResources/DocView.aspx?id=1209807&dbid=0&repo=WaterResources>
are not reflected in the current design maps. Please provide documentation from the USACE about the pond features or the impact maps need to be updated to reflect the 50-foot buffer
zones around the mapped pond features located at the top of stream features S2 & S3.

The PCN also is requesting impacts to the W4 wetland (potential pond), do all other buffer items shown on the impact maps fall under “deemed” in the table of uses?

It appears that the DEQ has waived the certification requirement for the subject application under 15A NCAC 02H .0507 as the 60-day review window has been exceeded. Please confirm as
