This review was conducted to determine whether the facility processed and monitored all residuals in compliance with Permit No. WQ0011381. The facility appears to be in compliance with all requirements of their DCAR Permit. The City reported “no distribution” for 2022 and has not distributed since 1998 due to nuisance issues using lime in a populated area. Approximately 711.8 short dry tons of residuals were hauled the Haywood County Landfill in Waynesville, NC. As a reminder, the City is currently permitted to distribute 0 dry tons of residuals annually. A permit modification would need to be submitted to the Non-Discharge Permitting Unit before distributions resume.
