Subject: Additional Information Request
Permit NCS000532
Oak-Bark Corporation—Riegelwood
Columbus County
Dear Permittee:
The stormwater permit for the Oak-Bark Corporation (NCS000532) facility located at 1507
Cronly Road in Riegelwood in Columbus County. The stormwater permit expired on October 31,
2015, and a renewal application has not been received to date. In addition, the permit fees have
not been paid for the period years 2017 through the present.
Stormwater permit NCS000532 was made inactive on September 21, 2021, as Stormwater
Program staff were unable to reach a facility contact and the permit fees were unpaid for several
years. The current status of the site is unknown. If the site is no longer active, and stormwater
does not come into contact with any industrial processes or materials, a permit rescission request
may be submitted for review. If industrial activities are occurring onsite, and stormwater comes
into contact with these activities prior to discharge, a renewal application must be submitted as
soon as possible and the outstanding permit fees paid.
If you have any questions about this matter, please contact me at Brianna.Young@deq.nc.gov or
919-707-3647.
Sincerely,
IA'
