Comments: Total Temporary Wetland Impact 0.058 acres Total Permanent Wetland Impact 0.422 acres E. Impact Justification and Mitigation 1. Avoidance and Minimization 1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project: The development plan (as seen in the supporting documentation) is concentrated development, utilizing a compact layout limited to the northern portion of the subject site, while not disturbing the forested wetlands on the southwestern side of the subject site. The planned wetland disturbance primarily affects emergent wetlands, and minimizes the impact on the remaining forested wetlands. 1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques: Wetlands outside of the planned construction area will be protected utilizing wire mesh supported sediment fencing. Wetlands protection tape will be utilized to mark wetland areas. Where necessary, sediment, erosion control measures will be utilized to minizine outfall of silt and soil towards wetlands. Examination of the site plan shows that the majority of the forested wetlands have been avoided through the careful placement of access road and parking lots. The proposed 2 additional ranges are no longer included in the site plans, but the future expansion will be towards the south and is not anticipated to impact wetlands. 2.
