The project address is 6125 Rex Road. An on -site private gravity sewer main, on -site private grinder pump station, on -site private force main, off -site private force main, and off -site private gravity sewer extension will be required to serve the new facility. The school building will be sized for 716 students. Applying the "school with cafeteria" wastewater design flow rate of 12-gpd per student, the expected Average Daily Flow for the facility is 8,592-gpd. The private sewer system consists of 636-LF of 8-in DIP sewer main that collects the sewage from the proposed school, duplex grinder pump station, 575-LF of 3-in PVC force main, 110-LF of 4-in DIP, and 37-LF of 8-in PVC gravity main. The nearest public sewer is an 8-in gravity sewer main, currently under construction, located at the end of Soadlite Lane on the Bridgeberry Development -Phase 3. This sewer will be owned and operated by the Town of Holly Springs. This sewer route was chosen because it requires the fewest stream crossings. The system eventually flows to the Town of Holly Springs' Utley Creek Water Reclamation Facility (NC0063096). The new pump station will be a duplex, grinder pump station connected to an on -site generator (located on the school's mechanical yard) with an automatic transfer switch that will provide an emergency power source. The proposed private force main crosses a stream inside the school property. A 110-LF of bore and jack is proposed , to avoid affecting the stream or 50-ft stream buffers. The 4-in DIP force main will be encased in a 12-in steel encasement pipe and will require restrain joints. Wetlands will not be affected by the sewer system. r- •++a..aavtiveuaa.ueilt/tittEily State of North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality DWR MAY 2 2 2023 Division of Water Resources FAST TRACK SEWER SYSTEM EXTENSION APPLICATION Division of Water Resources Raleigh Regional Office FTA 06-21 & SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION Application Number: (to be completed by DWR) All items must be completed or the application will be returned I.
