Dear Mr. and Mrs. Hunter:
This is to inform you about the results of the well testing activity that was

The results of sampling your well water found it to contain 9.01
milligrams/liter (mg/1) of nitrate. This level is below the State's groundwater quality
standard and federal EPA drinking water standard of 10.00 mg/l.
A copy of your test results has also been forwarded to our State
- Epidemiologist, Dr. Ken Rudo for his review and comment. After he has completed
his review and provides a Health Risk Evaluation, we will send you a copy of his
findings.'
If you have health risk concerns, please contact Dr. Rudo at (919) 715-6430.
If you have any other questions, please contact me at (910) 486-154L

Coliform Analysis:
If coliform bacteria are Absent, the water is considered safe for drinking purposes. If coliform
bacteria are Present, the water is considered unsafe for drinking purposes. Presence of E. coli
(bacteria) generally indicates that the water has been contaminated with fecal material. It must
be remembered that a water analysis refers only to the sample received and should not be
regarded as a complete report on the water supply.
