Thank you so much for your email and help in getting this approved. I hope I have answered all of your questions correctly. I have attached two pictures of the property from the road. I have attached two sketch drawings as well as a cross section of the sea wall construction plan. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally. I really do appreciate your time. Leigh Dotson 704-450-9509 9. Total disturbance below the normal pool level/ normal water level? 1362 square feet at most ( 6 feet roughly of rip rap below wall) 10. Total disturbance above the normal pool level/normal water level? 454 (sea wall and washed stone) For temporary access and staging I am thinking 3400 square feet (15x227 ) and temporary access off knoxview 6675 (15x445) just to drop off materials, mini excavator and auger. 1. There are no trees or any type of shrubs more than 3" in diameter. The area is kept mowed and undisturbed. Any extra brush or shrubs if any will be hand cut and removed. 2. Location of rip rap or fill to be placed above the full pond. Washed stone will be placed behind sea wall. 3. Location of rip rap of fill to be placed below the full pond. Rip rap will be placed at or below full pond. 4. Location of any proposed structures such as retaining walls. Attached you will find the retaining wall that we are proposing. 5. Location of any excavation or dredging below the full pond/ normal water elevation level. We will not be dredging at all. Our goal is to keep things as natural as possible with very little disturbance. We will use an auger to dig the holes for the posts. There will be a mini excavator on site. 6. Construction access corridors. Attached you will see a diagram of our proposed access. We would like to drop off a mini excavator, we will have lumber delivered and rip rap staged and will not have any type of truck on site. Your application is missing the information for number 9 and 10 (See picture 1). If you will be constructing the shoreline stabilization from Land then you will need to show your temporary access road in a sketch as well as the square footage in number 10. Temporary access roads can be a width of 15'. The buffer is a 50' buffer comprised of Zone 1 = 30" landward from the 760' contour, and Zone 2 = 20" landward from Zone 1 which equals the 50". Example, if you have 10' access road x 50', then your disturbance above normal pool lake level/normal water level and 50' landward would be 500 sgft. Number 10 would also include the 228 feet for the shoreline. Example: 2' above for shoreline = 456 sf of permanent impacts to the shoreline. For #9. You will need to put the amount of disturbance below the normal pool lake level/normal water level which is the 760' for Lake Norman. Example: 3' below on shoreline, So your length of 228'*3'= 684 sf. My examples are not using your numbers, they are for example purposes only. Picture 2 shows the property on Iredell County GIS. There looks to be shrubs/trees along the shoreline. You will need to put that in number 11. Please provide pictures from the land looking towards the lake so I can properly see the shoreline. Any tree removal over 3" caliper at DBH must have prior written approval. Picture 3 is an example of a sketch showing the shoreline rip rap length and depth, pond shoreline length and depth of riprap and your access road will be on the green area since it will be on the property. This example, the access road was on a neighbor's property. The items you need to include in the sketch are listed below the sketch. Please let me know if you have any questions. Picture 1. 2.
