Pretreatment Annual Report (PAR) for the year of 2022 (due 2023)

General Program information: Enclosed is a copy of the Pretreatment Program
Info sheet provided by the PERCS unit, and the PPS form, SNCR forms, IDSF forms,
and the AT
As shown Greer Laboratories is SIU permit #12, they have 3 discharge pipes
which discharge to the collection system that flows to the Lower Creek WWTP.
The Exela Augusta facility is SIU permit number 20 and the Exela Michelle facility
is SIU permit number 21.
B. General permit information for Lower Creek: Stallergenes Greer, and Exela
Augusta, and Michelle facilities are all pharmaceuticals and all have permits in
place, and expired December 2022. The renewal permits have been submitted
but require some corrections before being approved. The renewed permit is set
to include more stringent limits to coincide with the more stringent limits on the
NPDES permit for the Lower Creek WWTP.

For the industries that discharge to
Gunpowder Creek WWTP- City of Lenoir
A. General Program Information: Enclosed is a copy of the Program information sheet
provided by the PERCS unit. PPS form, SNCR forms. As shown, Beocare is SIU permit
number 8, and has 1 discharge pipe. Lenoir Mirror is SIU permit number 7 with 1
discharge pipe. These two industries discharge to the collection system that flows to
the City of Lenoir Gunpowder Creek WWTP.
B. General permit information for Gunpowder Creek: No new industries were added as
permitted SIU's in 2021
a. Beocare: is a medical garment textiles facility discharging domestic waste and
process wastewaters into the collection system. The WWTP monitored the flow,
analyzed for BOD, TSS, Cr, Cu, and Zn.
b. Beocare: The industrial permit will expired in December 2022. The permit
renewal has been submitted and is set to include more stringent Cu limits, as well
as include Pb, and Zn limits due to the NPDES plant permit limits on these
parameters. There are some issues with the permit and I will have to get some
items corrected or verified before it is approved.
c. Lenoir Mirror: is a metal finishing facility discharging domestic waste, process
wastewaters and wash waters to the collection system. The WWTP monitored the
flow, and analyzed for BOD, TSS, As, Cd, Cr, Cu, CN, Pb, Ag, Zn and Total Metals.
Total toxic organics (TTO) shall also be monitored, but a certification statement
may also be used if no change has taken place
d. Lenoir Mirror is in the process of adding a Cu removal type system due to the
more stringent Cu limits on the wastewater treatment facility NPDES permit. The
industrial permit expired in December 2022, and the renewal has been submitted
and is set to include more stringent Cu limits as well as Cd, Ag, and Zn to be
included with limits There are some issues with the permit and I will have to get
some items corrected or verified before it is approved.
