ST Wooten crews have been on site since then cleaning up the loss. Everything should be seeded and matted today. See Tim Garrett’s email below and attached photos and video for details. Thanks, Justin Knight From: Timothy Garrett <timothy.garrett@volkert.com> Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2023 2:08 PM To: Justin Knight <justin.knight@volkert.com> Cc: Randy Wise <rkwise@ncdot.gov> Subject: Sediment Loss C900 Justin, Attached are photos, rain records and a video for the sediment loss at C900/Site 49. Last week from Monday through this morning, we received 8.5 inches of precipitation. Last night we received 2.976 inches of that precipitation with 2.037 inches falling between 10 pm and 11 pm. Loss #1 is the west side wing wall with approximately 0.5 cubic yards. I can’t tell if it settled in the ditch section or in the stream bed. The contractor is currently working on clean up and measure repair. Loss #2 is on the east side wing wall and will equal approximately 0.5 cubic yards as well. In this instance ( as shown in the attached video) water is actually flowing from the ESA onto our site and down to the wing wall fence outlet. Again, the contractor is currently performing clean up and repairs. This site should be seeded and matted tomorrow Timothy D.
