Paul,
As Lindsey indicated, we added an oil/water separator at the Public Services facility when it was upgraded in 2017. It
allows staff to wash vehicles without impacting runoff, as it discharges to the sanitary sewer. We added a similar device
at the Golf Course facility. That system has a removable bag that collects leaf clippings/organic material in the first stage
of treating the wash water before going through the oil/water separator and being discharged to the sanitary
sewer. Our Fire Station also uses an oil/water separator to treat wash water from their vehicles.
As part of our annual maintenance duties, staff inspects all of the permitted grease traps and oil/water separators in
Town, usuallly in February. We collect loose leaves throughout Town from late October to late February in an effort to
keep material out of storm drains. We inspect each Town storm drainage inlet in March (generally) after leaf season
ends to be better prepared for spring rainfalls. The inspections are used to identify maintenance needs.

Hi Paul! I'll see if Matt & Paul B. have more to add, but we inspect and evaluate the municipal BMPs annually, and those
inspections are in the BMP link I sent previously. They are typically completed between March -May. These annual
inspections have led to both renovations and retro-fits of existing SCMs.
We evaluate new SCMs and BMPs anytime we add, renovate, or build new municipal buildings or parking lots. That is
how we ended up with the washout area at Public Works parking lot and the new washout area and oil/grease separator
at the new Golf course building parking area. I'm not certain if there are specific inspections that led to those new
BMPs, but if so I'm sure Paul B will send them.
We do evaluate BMPs like street sweeping annually and that's noted in the catch -basin inspections. If we find the same
catch basins continually getting fuller than others, we can opt to increase the street sweeping and/or catch basin
cleaning frequency.
Again, if there is anything additional to add, I'm sure Matt and Paul B. will chime -in.
Thanks!

Whew— almost done with report. See following statement
The permittee evaluated existing and new BMPs that reduce polluted stormwater runoff from municipally owned streets, roads, and
public parking lots within its corporate limits annually.
Does Jamestown do this every March? Do you have records of these inspections?

Hi Paul! Yes, the town owns a bioretention device at the Fire Department next to Town Hall and a bioretention device
across the street at Wrenn Miller Park. Both are listed on the SCM list if you need more info, and both are inspected

Paul, will we have at least 30 days notice on which minimum measures

Thanks and looking forward to another audit with you!
