The 42 North development, located at 5842 NC-42 in Johnston County, NC, will be 7 subdivided
outparcels on site intended to be used for commercial businesses at later dates. Phase I of this
project will be the infrastructure on site consisting of the roadway, utilities with stub-outs to the
parcels, and two stormwater ponds. For sanitary sewer on site, there will be a proposed public
main which will include a modification to the existing NCDEQ permit number WQ0035678,
issued on 12-12-2011. Under the original permit, 22,500 GPD were approved for average daily
flow with 3,775 LF of 10” PVC pipe and 386 LF of 8” SDR-35 pipe. Under the proposed
improvements, there will be 20,500 GPD, see attached table for allocated flows between
parcels, with 1,916 LF of 8” PVC pipe. The modification being requested is to increase the
amount of permitted 8” pipe from 386 LF to 1,916 LF and to change the material from SDR-35
to PVC.
