Dear Trent Allen,
As operator in charge, I missed the fact that the reel calibration
was out of date, and I should have been more consistent with my
lagoon samples, which led to the over application.
The following steps have beer' or will be taken to prevent future
violations:
1. We have hired a full-time person to do office work. She has
a calendar with important dates marked for lagoon sample
dates. We plan to have samples prior to pumping, and do
the math first before pumping. We have other fields in our
plan we can use. Enclosed is our current sample.
2. We are currently clearing another 30 acres which will be
added to our waste plan.
3. Calibration is not hard. We have worked with our local
extension, and enclosed is our current calibration.
4. We will be working with Extension further, to see if we can
adjust our waste management plan to fully utilize our land.
We are currently looking at different crops for our plan and
potentially a different application method.

Measuring Wetted Diameter:
To measure wetted diameter, measure the distance from the gun to the end of the throw
of water. This will give you the radius. Multiply this number by 2 to get diameter.
