AMENDMENT NO. 3
-HIS CONTRACT AMENDMENT made and entered into this 1st day of December, 2005, by and between
jUILFORD COUNTY, a body politic and corporate of the State of North Carolina, hereinafter referred to as the
"COUNTY" and the TOWN OF JAMESTOWN, hereinafter referred to as the "TOWN";
WITNESS ETH:
WHEREAS, the parties entered into a CONTRACT on May 28, 1976, and amended it on April 1, 1998 and July
1, 2000, for various services to be provided by the COUNTY to the TOWN; and
WHEREAS, the parties seek now to revise the initial CONTRACT;
WHEREAS, effective January 1, 2006, the COUNTY agrees to provide all inspection (building, mechanical,
plumbing, electrical and fuel gas) and erosion control services to the TOWN, as well as indirect services, such
as construction plan review, permit issuance, computer forms and files keeping, enforcement, administration
and disaster response.
WHEREAS, the TOWN agrees to adopt the current Guilford County building permit fee schedule(s), as
amended from time to time. All building permit fees generated by construction activity in the TOWN will be
received, processed and retained by the COUNTY for services rendered.
All other provisions of the initial CONTRACT entered into on May 28, 1976, as amended, are hereby ratified
and shall continue in force without change unless and until revised upon mutual written agreement of the
parties or terminated pursuant to the initial CONTRACT.

CONTRACT WITH GUILFORD COUNTY — INSPECTION SERVICES PERMIT FEE
SCHEDULE
The Town Council of the Town of Jamestown held their regular meeting on December
20, 2005 in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall. During this meeting, the Council
discussed the new Commercial and Residential Building Permit fee schedule prepared by
Guilford County. Councilman Mickey Peeler made a motion to adopt the Commercial
and Residential Building Permit fee schedule to be effective January 1, 2006 and to grant
the Town Manager the authority to approve the amendment to the permit and inspection
contract on behalf of the Town of Jamestown. Councilman Keith Volz made a second to
the motion. The motion passed by unanimous vote.
