Subject: Compliance Evaluation Inspection
Southview (Formerly South Elk) Subdivision
Dear Mr. Maxwell:
On October 17, 1996 you were issued General Water Quality
Certifications No.s 3022, 2732, and 2671 authorizing you to place fill
in 0.50 acres of wetlands or waters for the purpose of developing a
residential subdivision. Conditions of this Certification included
limiting fill on lot# 124 to only that needed for a driveway adjacent
to lot # 125. In addition, stormwater was to be directed (sheetflowed)
from adjacent lots through this wetland and deed restrictions were top
be placed on the remaining wetland area in lot # 124 to prevent
additional fill.
On August 25, 1997 Mr. Eric Fleek and Mr. Pete Colwell from the
Division of Water Quality's Central Office and Mr. Ken Averitte from
the Division's Fayetteville Regional office conducted a compliance
evaluation inspection of the aforementioned project. As a result of
this inspection it was noted that you have yet to start work in the
aforementioned area of your project. Consequently, another compliance
evaluation inspection will be conducted in the future.
If you have any questions regarding this matter please feel free
to call me at (919) 733-1786.
Sincerely,
vtric D. leek
