Thank you for taking the time to reach out to the Wolfspeed team. Here is the additional explanation
per the request below:

Wolfspeed measured wastewater flow from each industrial process using flow meters at our existing
facility, located at 4600 Silicon Drive. All of these processes are identical to those that will be
operational at 40 Moore Drive, except for wastewater reclamation. Wastewater reclamation
numbers are estimated based on a pilot study conducted at our existing facility. There will be no
sanitary waste discharged through the pump station, so the 02T rule estimations do not apply to the
pump station calculation.

Hi Bentley,

We’ll need more of an explanation of how that flow was estimated.

Section VI.7 of the application requires the applicant to use the design flows in 02T.0114(f)) when
estimating the flow. If the flow is estimated by other means, it needs to be explained, and we’ll take that into
consideration.

We have a question regarding this application:

In Item VI.7 pf the application, how was the daily design flow of 297,500 GPD
of industrial wastewater to the Durham Triangle plant estimated?
This number was provided to our design team by the Wolfspeed process
engineering team for their equipment set up.

Good afternoon Mr. Vinson,

Wolfspeed, Inc. is expanding local operations to 40 Moore Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709.
An Industrial User Pretreatment Permit is required for Wolfspeed to operate at this location. Here is
the information regarding the IUP permit.
The permit application was submitted to Durham County POTW on March 20, 2023.
The draft permit, DC-126, was issued by Durham County POTW May 23, 2023.
Draft permit reviewed and commented by Wolfspeed and returned to Durham County POTW
May 30,2023.

We understand this information is required for the state to sign off on the sewer permit.
