Fearrington Village WWTP appreciates the opportunity to respond to the notice of violation
issued on April 28, 2023 and received by Fearrington Utilities, LLC on May 3, 2023.
After a thorough review of our records, our response is below:
Temperature, Water Deg. (00010) — A clerical error was discovered where this reading
was not recorded on the DMR. Upon this notice, clerk immediately filed a revised report with
the readings recorded in the logs.
Nitrite, Nitrogen & Nitrogen Total (00630-00625-00600) — Due to a change in personnel
at the lab, the standard testing documents changed and excluded these items from the standard 2
x month testing. New Administrative personnel at the lab failed to send the February reports
until requested on March 17`h therefore; we did not realize these 3 items were not tested as
required until that point. We immediately called the lab regarding this issue. A meeting was
held with plant personnel after the discovery and all future lab testing documents will be
thoroughly checked to be sure the necessary testing is indicated as required by our permit.

Fearrington Utilities, LLC has planned an expansion and renovation of the Fearrington
Village WWTP system which we anticipate completion by late Fall 2023. The newly renovated
system will provide greater efficiency which will allow us to continue our history of commitment
to operate this facility in a responsible manner. We respectfully request that no further action be
taken regarding this violation as we took immediate action to correct these issues.
