Inspection Summary:
On May 16th 2023 an inspection was conducted at this facility upon receipt of an application for a general stormwater
permit. A previous inspection was conducted upon receipt of a no exposure application. During the initial inspection it was
determined that the site does not qualify for no exposure. They have applied for coverage under the NCG05 general permit.
We agree that they should be covered under the NCG05 general permit.
Areas of concern are the parking lot and a stormwater channel the runs west through the site and empties into another
stormwater channel that flows to the north before leaving the property. During the initial inspection plastic pellets were
observed in both stormwater channels. Jeremy Burleson, the site Safety Manager, indicated during the inspection that a
catch basin is being installed into the storm channel in order to catch any pellets that may enter into the channel. The basin
will have something similar to drop inlet protection in order to clean the basin out on a regular basis. Outfall #1 will be
located in the stormwater channel right before it flows off property. It will be sampled on a regular basis as part of the
stormwater permit.
