Thanks for taking take to speak with me this afternoon. Per my understanding, the Corps' June 2014 permit mod.
accurately reflected the required compensatory mitigation amounts for U-2524CD. Upon issuance, the requested
permit mod. would reflect the previously determined amount, plus the 0.02 additional wetland credits proposed (0.01
ac at a 2:1 ratio).
However, I need a few additional items before I can continue processing the permit mod:
1) an update mitigation acceptance letter from NCDMS
2) the included permit drawing sheets 25 and 26 appear to show only the originally permitted drawings with the new
proposed mechanized clearing area. These plan sheets should also include the modifications authorized in the June
2014 permit mod; these impacts included permanent wetland fill for a bridge bent, a temporary stream crossing, etc.
3) would it be possible to add a note to the plan sheets (once modified above) that specifically shows the currently
proposed impact area for the sound wall, for clarity?
