Thanks Michael. I had been talking to the engineer yesterday trying to understand his drawing, so when I realized the
submittal deficiencies, I felt like I should let him know. So, I sent him the note below. Sorry, I should have copied you
both. I hope my note is not out-of-line.
“This note is not an official notification but you will get an email or letter soon, sent by the appropriate staff
member, documenting our need. However, in order to let you know as soon as possible, I’m sending you this
note directly so you can get working on this information as soon as possible.
The information needed is specified in the “Contech Supplement” sheet. We will need that sheet along with
the Required Item Checklist and the O&M agreement. They can all be found on the DEMLR web page at:
http://portal.ncdenr.org/web/lr/bmp-manual Go to BMP Supplement Forms and then to “Proprietary
Systems”. See the bottom of the Excel table for the checklist and example Supplement sheet. Let me know if
you have questions. “

Boyd, Alan is on vacation this week and my normally my preference would be to get his input prior to sending out any
“add info” letter. If you can hang onto this one until he gets back, we will get you our comments so you can move
forward with your response. If you need to get a reply out, then my suggestion would be to either call them or if you
want the documentation, send it out as an “Add Info” letter and tell them we are placing it on hold until we get the
information we need to review the project. That’s my 2 cents.

I just got started in my review of the Willowcroft residential development plan (Union County) today and although it
looks pretty good, I could not find the information on the filter size and capacity that I like to check.. Then I realized that
they did not submit a supplement sheet, checklist or O&M. Please look at the note I propose sending to the
engineer, Rob Reddick. Should I make a statement that the project is being put on hold? Please add any statements
that you think are needed. Also, if you want me to have you or Karen send an official letter, let me know. I think they
can get this information up in a few days so I was not going to make a big deal of it but I will defer to your judgment.
In reviewing the information provided, I realized that some of the basic information that we will need to complete the
review does not seem to have been provided. The information needed is specified in the “Contech Supplement”
sheet. We will need that sheet along with the Required Item Checklist and the O&M agreement. They can all be found
on the DEMLR web page at: http://portal.ncdenr.org/web/lr/bmp-manual Go to BMP Supplement Forms and then to
“Proprietary Systems”. See the bottom of the Excel table for the checklist and example Supplement sheet. Let me
know if you have questions.

I just wanted to let you know that your project has been on my desk for 3 days now but I’m sorry that I’ve not done
much. However, I plan on it being my only project on Monday. I’ll let you know if I have questions.
