The facility is located in the SE portion of the
junction of West Market Street and Chimney Rock Road in
Greensboro, N.C. at 101 S. Chimney Rock Rock just south
of the rail road.

The over-all site contains approximately 10 acres
and this is adequate for upgrade.

8. Topography (relationship to flood plain included):
The site is graded to suit activities in several levels
with the over-all slope to the east and south to the
discharge point. The slope =.Vries from 1 to 5% and is
not in a flood plain.
9. Location of nearest dwelling: Over 1000 feet.
10. Receiving stream or affected surface waters: A
drainage ditch and drainage -way on the eastside, then
across Conoco Property to the receiving U.T. and then
to Long Branch.

downstream uses: Over -land flow to UT then through

4. Type of treatment (specify whether proposed or
existing):
The existing system consist of loading rack drains,
oil/water separation, pumping of separated petroleum to
storage and off -site disposal, gravity drainage to
inside dike containment and release along with
collected stormwater after analyses via manually
operated valves and discharge pipe. Discharges are
controlled to try to meet Permit limits. Bottom water
from tanks and the oily products from oil/water
separator go to hazardous waste contract hauler.

Contract waste haulers (incineration or treatment).

PART III - OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION
1. Is this facility being constructed with Construction

2. Special monitoring requests: Each discharge shall be
reported and flow reported. Both phenol Concentration
and lbs./day shall be reported.
3. Additional effluent limits requests: Please apply the
same limits used for other terminals with oil/water
separators and dikes in the Greensboro multiple
terminal complex.
4. Other: This terminal appeared to be satisfactorily
operate and maintained.
