Dear Mr. Boss,
Per the Notice of violation for Cullasaja WWTP; the parameter Nitrogen, Ammonia Total
for the dates 06/21/22 & 06/30/22 exceeded the daily maximum and monthly average
due to a shock load to the WWTP from some kind of chemical. We traced it to a
community liftstation, but we were unable to identify the exact chemical. Information
was sent out to the homeowners regarding what not to put down their drains. After some
plant adjustments, the issue was resolved. Since then the limits have not been exceeded
and we will continue to monitor per the NPDES Permit.
