Tom, Hannah, and Stephen,
We wanted to notify you that there was a frac-out of bentonite drilling fluid yesterday afternoon at
the subject project.
The release occurred in the vicinity of Sta. 18+50 (RT) in wetlands, but did not reach the river. The
amount was estimated to be 50 gallons which covered approximately 240 sq ft. The area was
isolated, and a crew has been cleaning up the area with hand tools. We believe that the frac-out is
completely within wetlands which are permitted to be impacted for the project.
Jon will be sending a detailed report later today.
Feel free to contact either me or Jon with questions,
Anneliese
